He got some opposition from scientists who feared their overall trustworthiness might suffer if they adopted some of his approaches. As the spouse of a scientist but a videographer and cameraman I know first hand that Randy is right on. The reason why the ID jerks spend half an hour on make up before going on camera - unlike the sloppily dressed scientists - is that people intuitively trust the good looking people.
